Have you ever wondered why it seems so easy for someone else to forgive or for someone else to heal and move on?    What is needed for healing?  How do we have eyes to see, ears to hear and a mind to understand so that they can turn and heal?  For 25 years,  I have been seeking these truths.  Multiple trainings have taken me from understanding language, thinking patterns, and communication to experiential methods of tapping, energy and how the body stores emotion/trauma and memory in its cells.  I've worked in inpatient hospital settings, foster care, educational settings, community mental health, partnering with a physician to understand medication's role, military, special needs to private practice.  The truths that I have found are these:

1. We are more than a body with emotions -we have a soul and spirit that is connected to God.  We are here on purpose, valuable and worth it!

2. We are driven by subconscious programs that block our desired outcomes. Patterns that emerge when we do not listen to our inner wisdom or compel us toward unhealthy expressions of our needs.

3. We are much more powerful than we believe.  This is in all areas that pertain to life.  We can and do create things around us by our thoughts, emotions and words. We have faith or intention that shifts reality. We are supported in all that we do and that there is always a way.  Hope and faith are guides.

4. If we lose our personal power to a situation, person, substance or thought/emotion, we can call that back to us.  Access the energy that was given away and sought to steal our future. We do not have to remain in the trauma, the substance, the disorder, the condition, the baggage, the belief, and so on. We no longer have to own the thing that hindered us.  We can choose.  Would you like to be able to define yourself differently? For example, "That happened to me, now I" or "I endured this... now I"....these can be our phrases or our messages to those who feel trapped. We no longer have to be limited by something, rather we can rise above, live free and full.   Our story is not permanent.  What has happened to us, can either define us or become a moment where we assign the meaning- it happened it isn't forever.

5. It is in the integration of the mind, body, and soul with an infusion from God's Spirit that we find our answers.  It is in this process that "we have eyes to see, ears to hear and a mind that can turn and be healed."
